Vinyl Decal Application How-To:

Some simple steps for an easy application and long lasting result...

Tools you'll want close by: a damp wipe or alcohol based cleaner to wipe your surface down, credit card or scraper, flat surface to lay your decal on

Step 1: Prepping the surface. In order to ensure your decal adheres to your selected surface as best possible, we recommend picking a mild-temperated day for application. Try not to apply the decal to a car window that is too hot or too cold. (This tip goes for other surface areas too!). Next take a damp wipe or your alcohol based cleaner and spray your surface down. Make sure to use a cloth or wipe that doesn't leave fibres or fluffs behind. Wipe and let dry thoroughly. If you have any remaining pesky fibres (or dog hairs) left behind, use a piece of tape to remove them before applying your decal.

Step 2: Prep your decal for application. Lay your decal face down (clear transfer tape side) on any flat surface. Take your credit card or scraper and rub the paper backing. This will press your decal onto the clear transfer tape and make it easier to peel off. If any small details have trouble transferring onto the clear tape, use your thumb and a little more force to encourage that spot onto the transfer tape.

Step 3: Now that your decal has been removed from the paper backing and is only on the clear transfer tape it's time to stick it to your surface. Align your decal with the desired area and carefully start to lay it down going from one side to another or top to bottom and smoothing out any bubbles before they get stuck. Make sure your motion of side to side or top to bottom is fluid and try not to let other edges of the decal adhere before you press any bubbles out. You can use a credit card for this step or your thumb to apply pressure.

Step 4: Once you're satisfied with your application you can start to peel the clear transfer tape away from the decal. We recommend doing this part slowly and steadily, don't rush it! Peel tape away at a slight angle but don't pull directly upwards. During this part, if any pieces remain stuck to your transfer tape, use your thumb to press them onto your surface and slowly try peeling away tape again.
